Jimmy Donaldson more commonly known by his youtube username “Mrbeast” made a bold move in January of 2022 by launching his chocolate company Feastables, a direct competitor to Hershey’s the United States’ biggest chocolate company. I will be reviewing and comparing a Feastables milk chocolate bar to a Hershey’s milk chocolate bar.

The main factor I am comparing the two bars is taste since that is what most people want in a chocolate bar. The main promotion for Feastables is through the Mrbeast youtube channel which has 370 million subscribers and that number is growing higher everyday. People love Mrbeast for very unique and entertaining videos.

In a world that is very reliant on social media the Feastables brand will just keep growing off the back of being owned by the most popular social media influencer in the world. Meanwhile Hershey has stagnated and does not have the same social media presence as Feastables.

A giant corporation like Hershey’s has too many guidelines put in place for posts on social media and therefore is very restrictive on post topics. The general public is more likely to gravitate towards a person who makes posts about anything and might produce a good promotional video for Feastables. Jimmy has appealed to the general public way more than Hershey’s has in the past four years.

Jimmy also has his own charity organization he started around the sametime as Feastables and he has made people’s lives around the world better. Technically if you buy a Feastables bar you are indirectly supporting his charity by keeping financially stable.

That’s enough context about Feastables and Hershey, let’s get to the thing you are reading this article for the review. The first bar I tried was Hershey and it tasted like mass produced fake chocolate which many people have echoed this same sentiment. Then I tried the Feastables milk chocolate bar and it was richer, creamery, and overall just better then the Hershey’s bar. It also tasted like real milk chocolate compared to Hershey’s.

A big reason why I think it tasted like real milk chocolate is that Jimmy has gone on multiple podcasts and said good things about Feastables manufacturing. Specifically, he flew across the country to the chocolate manufacturer that supplies the chocolate in Feastables and made sure it was ethically sourced with better, more real ingredients.

If Jimmy can manage a full youtube channel that uploads videos once or twice a week and do everything he is doing to make Feastables great. Then the CEO of Hershey’s can step his game up and improve the product they are selling to millions as well. In conclusion I think Feastables offers the general public a better tasting chocolate bar and you are also supporting a person who wants to make the world a better place.
