“This is my 8th year at PHS. I teach Algebra 1 and Honors Algebra 2. My favorite class to teach is Algebra 2. My favorite units are the ones with functions - quadratic, rational, exponential and logarithmic is the connections these functions have in the real world - especially the connections with science!”

“This is my 31st year at PHS. I teach Advanced Math and Algebra 2. It is too hard to choose my favorite class, I like them both for different reasons. I like the polynomial unit in Adv. Math because at the end of the chapter the students apply what they learned by making an equation for a roller coaster design.”

"This is my seventh year teaching at PHS. I currently teach Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus. Each class has its own appeal, and I truly enjoy teaching each of them. I especially enjoy the lessons where students are interacting with math and are able to see connections with the "real world.” For example in Geometry, students are able to calculate the height of the flagpole in front of ...

“This is my 4th at PHS. I teach Geometry and Informal Geometry. I like to teach both of them for different reasons. In geometry I like when we get into finding the area of polygon informal and in Informal geometry, I like the area of the rings of an archery target.”

“This is my 6th year at PHS. I teach Algebra A & B, I used to be a Special Ed teacher. I like to teach both of them. I like equations, factoring quadratics a lot, I like to watch the start to the finish, to see how the students review.”
