I haven’t really been thrifting for that long. My mom grew up really poor so she always thrifted. And my dad didn’t even grow up in America, so when my mom introduced it to my dad, they would go to Goodwill all the time. I was in my parents’ closet and saw all of these old jean jackets and sweaters. My mom told me that they thrifted them and asked her what that was. [When she explained it] I told her we should go some time.
