1.What prompted you to run for re-election?
I have really enjoyed serving on the school board the last four years and would like to continue to help make USD 250 the best it can be!
2. What are your goals for the district?
Continue to prioritize and maintain needs for the district as a whole. All the way from curriculum, staff needs, student needs, facility maintenance/needs and everything in between.
3. How do you plan on improving the school at each level?
Elementary- Consistency! This will be achieved by getting all elementary schools on the same page by what is being taught and how it’s also being taught. This should ensure elementary students are equally prepared to enter their new chapter into middle school.
Middle- Improve areas that will help not only individual students but ALL middle school students. In addition, continue working toward preparing middle school students for their upcoming high school adventure.
High- Continue to offer multiple opportunities for all high school students and prepare them for their college years or entering the workforce based upon what they choose.
4. What are you looking forward to?
It has been an adventurous 4 years on the school board where I have learned A LOT, but I am looking forward to learning more as the district moves forward continuing to be the model district for the state, DRAGON EXCELLENCE!
5. What do you feel makes you a worthy candidate? What makes you stand out?
I am just an ordinary guy who enjoys being involved in my community and who genuinely cares about kids with no personal agenda other than serving the patrons of USD 250. I don’t believe I stand out from anyone else who is running for school board. I just genuinely care about our district as a whole and want it to be the best it can be!
6. What are some of the strengths and weaknesses you bring to the district?
I have served the community on the school board the past four years in addition to working for the district for about 10 years as a School Resource Officer, coach and maintenance worker, so I know the in’s and out’s of how the district operates. I am a candidate who is genuinely concerned about the district, student, and staff needs. I always have and always will BLEED PURPLE!!!!!!!!!! I vow to continue to work on improving my communication skills and remember to consider all opinions from district patrons before making a decision that affects USD 250.
