Key Club Advisor Kristin Thomas stands with club officers Corin Cooper, Elliot DeGruson, and Chris Saman to accept an adopted highway from the County Commissioner’s office.
Key Club paid a visit to the County Commissioner’s office on April 27, to receive a sign commemorating their newly adopted highway. Advisor Kristin Thomas accepted this highway, which extends from Free Kings Hwy to the state line on Highway 126, with club officers Corin Cooper, Elliot DeGruson, and Chris Saman. The club will regularly clean and maintain this highway in an effort to beautify the community.
At the meeting, it was also decided that May 4 would be Teacher Appreciation day.
“The city of Pittsburg recognizes and supports the teachers and school staff members in our community who dedicate countless hours and extra effort to help students achieve and prepare themselves for further education, the workforce and their civic duties,” Mayor of Pittsburg Dawn McNay said.
