In order to spread some positivity, seniors Lane Phifer and Noemi Hernandez along with junior Kaley Mussa created a video for theatre teacher Greg Shaw to show him all of the interesting and comedic things currently going on at Pittsburg High School this year.

English attempts to score during game against the Labette Grizzlies on Janurary 17th. “There are some pressures but when I’m in the game,” English said. “When playing all of them go away because at the end of the day it’s basketball and having fun is the most important thing.”
Jeff Staley receives Administrator of the Year Award during wrestling meet.
“I was surprised to say the least,” Staley said. “To find out that I had won an award I didn’t even know I was nominated for was very surprising, but in a good way.”
“It provides us a chance to showcase our school and community,” Slavens said. “It is a major fundraiser for our school booster club which helps support all of our school sports. It provides our athletes an opportunity to compete in the biggest meet of the year right here at home.”

Senior Chloe Costello and sophomore Townes Sullivan perform in The Unsinkable Molly Brown in the direction of his mom, Breanna Clark. “I definitely have a more accessible gateway into the world of theater because of my mom,” Townes Sullivan said. “However, during auditions, my mother has a panel of judges and refuses to suggest us for any role. She tries her hardest to make it balanced, but I still get benefits.”
